Knowing your significant other’s (SO’s) ring size is key. If you’re scratching your head on how to figure it out, here are some tips:
  • Use a Ring Sizer: We offer ring sizers that you can use to measure the correct size. Just ask us!
  • Use an Existing Ring: If your SO has a ring worn on their ring finger, bring it to us for sizing, or measure its circumference with a piece of string.
  • Guessing Game: Don’t stress if it’s not perfect—we can always make adjustments later. It’s better to start with a ring that’s slightly too loose than too tight.

Step 2: Understand Their Style

Timing is everything when it comes to choosing the dream ring. Give yourself plenty of time to research and prepare, especially if you want to keep it a surprise.
To figure out your SO’s style:
  • Go Window Shopping: Visit jewelry stores together and pay attention to what they love.
  • Ask Their Friends: Close friends can be a treasure trove of information about your SO’s preferences.
  • Set a Budget: Decide on a budget early to help narrow down options.

Step 3: Learn the Basics

Understanding a few key terms can simplify the process:
  • The 4Cs: Diamonds are graded based on color, clarity, carat, and cut.
  • Gemstones: Rubies, emeralds, and sapphires are valued based on characteristics like origin, color saturation, and carat weight.
  • Shapes: Diamonds and gemstones come in various shapes, with popular options like oval, emerald, round brilliant, cushion, radiant, pear, marquise, asscher, and heart.

Step 4: Design the Perfect Ring

Ring design includes elements like metal type, setting style, and personalizations. Don’t worry if you don’t have a design in mind—after selecting the center stone (diamond or gemstone), we’ll collaborate with you to create something truly unique.
